Algeria vs DR Congo Live Stream: It has been 11 years since Algeria and Congo DR, the two African sides, last faced each other in a friendly game. Stade Mustapha Tchaker will host Thursday’s football game between the two African teams and a close encounter is on the cards. Seeing that Algeria face Colombia in yet another friendly on Tuesday evening, head coach Djamel Belmadi is likely to rest key players in the game against Congo DR.
As a result, Manchester City superstar Riyad Mahrez is unlikely to start this time out. The Leopards, on the other hand, failed to win previous five friendly games, with the team suffering a 3-2 loss to Rwanda in September. The visitors would be happy with the share of spoils this time out and seeing that Algeria boss Djamel Belmadi is unlikely to field the best possible side against Congo DR, there is a big value in betting on draw.

Democratic Republic of Congo made no more than one appearances at the World Cup finals. DR Congo qualified for the major tournament in 1974 and they were playing under the name of Zaire back then. The Leopards suffered a heavy 9-0 loss to Yugoslavia in Gelsenkirchen and that is considered the team’s biggest defeat. DR Congo (Zaire) won two African Cup of Nations titles, with the team lifting the prestigious trophies in 1968 and 1974.
It has to be noted that the team won the bronze medal at both the 1998 and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. DR Congo play their home games in sky-blue shirts with red sleeves, while the colour of their away kit is white. Dieumerci Mbokani is the team’s most notable player.
